Writing for radio is very different to writing for print or Tv. The journalist only has their voice to get their story across and must use short, clear sentences. Radio news bulletins are generally kept short and sweet and have no space for the wordy waffle. 24/11 LS
A Maidstone man has been remanded in custody following a series of offences in Surrey and Sussex.
28-year-old Isaac Devell appeared at East Surrey Magistrates Court yesterday to answer to a total of 10 crimes.
The roofer has been charged with a number of burglaries, robberies and assaults along with taking a vehicle without consent.
Devell will next appear at Guildford Crown Court on the 3rd of February 2010.

Four men are on the loose and could be armed following a robbery in Cobham.
The theft took place at the Coral Betting shop last Thursday where two members of staff were threatened.
The robbers, described as being white and in their late teens or early twenties, made off with 500 pounds cash.
Detectives in Elmbridge are now appealing for witnesses.
