Remembrance day Voxpop

My first Voxpop. . .'Voice of the people'
Given the topic of Remembrance day, Farnham’s 1st year journalism students went out to the high street to attain public opinions, asking a variety of people what their thoughts were regarding remembrance day. In my group, The A team (of course) Tim, Ed, Laura Chris and I decided on two questions:
'Has remembrance day lost it’s relevance?' and
‘Do you think the soldiers currently losing their lives to the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq will be remembered in the same way?’
Here is my edit of the information we gathered. I used Soundbooth for the first time and really enjoyed editing.

Whilst we were gathering our information it became clear that asking the public closed questions was making our job difficult. With the questions we asked it was easy to reply with a yes/no answer. We were gathering opinions for radio journalism, so yes/no answers were not going to be enough to make it interesting.
Changing the initial question to, ‘What is your opinion on the relevance of remembrance day?’ would have probed fuller replies and made it easier to edit out our own voices, without leaving the material ambiguous.
